We will soon know what the fallout of signing Ilya Kovalchuk is. The Devils must be under the $59.4 million payroll cap by 3 p.m. Wednesday, which is just a little over 48 hours away. There are some moves that have been highly talked about over the last few days and some other moves that we can only guess at. Only Lou knows what he is going to do.

BREAKING NEWS - Salvador Out Indefinitely With Concussion
Devils' president and general manager Lou Lamoriello announced that defenseman Bryce Salvador will be out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a concussion today.
There has been no decision on whether or not to place Salvador on the long-term injured reserve list.

The Devils have finally ended their preseason losing streak. After dropping three straight games, the Devils defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-2, in preseason action tonight at the Prudential Center. It was the first game that ended in regulation, and now the Devils will look to build on this performance the rest of the way.
